The cross line laser is a state-of-the-art spirit level and superior to its old-fashioned predecessor in every respect. Whether you want to precisely align pictures in parallel at right angles, drill holes on a straight projected line or attach tiles in a strict grid – using the cross line laser BD5A from Trotec, all this and much more is easily possible.
Immediately after being switched on, the BD5A – which is battery-operated and can thus be used conveniently in any place – projects a right-angled laser cross onto the opposite wall. Since the device is self-levelling, the projected lines are always 100 % straight.
The BD5A's levelling mode automatically compensates for an unevenness of the ground up to an inclination of 4°. If self-levelling is impossible due to larger unevenness, the laser will give a warning via a red LED on the device and a pulsing laser cross on the projection surface.
Where previously one had to make use of a spirit level and pencil, now modern laser technology has become the solution.
Optionally available: universal tripod for cross line laser, measuring devices and cameras
The universal telescopic tripod from Trotec, which can be ordered separately, has a commercially available 1/4" (6.35 mm) standard screw connection. This allows you to simply screw your cross line laser onto the tripod and position it optimally in the room. Simply extend the telescopic segment of the tripod to the desired height and fix it in place. The 3-legged construction guarantees secure footing. Furthermore, the universal tripod can also be used e.g. for photo and video cameras as well as a variety of measuring devices.
Ultra-compact and easy-to-handle
Despite the latest technology, handling the BD5A is so simple that not only experienced craftsmen can benefit from its practical advantages; even do-it-yourselfers with little experience will immediately be able to produce perfectly rectangular auxiliary laser lines.
Weighing only 265 g, the cross line laser is hardly as big as a Rubik's Cube and is therefore prepared for extremely mobile use. The supplied multifunctional holder allows you to attach the device to almost any kind of object or ground without causing damage.
Moreover, the BD5A housing has a ¼ inch thread integrated at the bottom, which serves to mount the device on commercially available tripods.
Your additional benefit: Unlike other cross line lasers the supplied holder of the BD5A is not only fitted with a practical universal clamp but also with an additionally integrated suction cup.
It allows you to easily and securely attach the device at places where a clamp does not provide sufficient grip or cannot be attached, for instance on windows, mirrors or other smooth surfaces. The BD5A is the only device to offer this multifunctional combination holder with universal clamp plus suction cup!
Always at (the) right angles – quickly and easily
When in off position, the operating switch of the BD5A serves as a transport lock and securely fixes the laser in its position. Once switched to on, the light-intense cross line laser is ready for use within seconds, automatically levels itself and then projects precisely aligned laser lines with an impressive accuracy of only ± 0.8 mm (at 0°).
If required, the two light-intense laser cross lines can also be switched on and levelled separately at any time at the push of a button – thus producing an individual horizontal or vertical line.
Moreover, besides perpendicular projection, you can also easily use the BD5A for alignment at oblique lines, for instance if you want to hang up pictures parallel to a banister.
The attractively designed smooth device sides further enable you to position the BD5A flat on measuring and work objects, e.g. walls.
Due to the advanced technology and the favourably calculated price of this quality device, laser-supported alignment without the need for spirit levels and pencils finally becomes possible for everyone.
